Currently, identifying and rectifying ground faults involves manual testing of miles of wiring, a time-consuming and labor-intensive process. Ground fault detection in complex electrical systems is currently a labor-intensive and time-consuming process, often requiring sensors to be manually attached to each wire for data alignment.

 

This method is prone to inaccuracies and operational disruptions, particularly when using tools like Megger, which, despite their fault-detection capabilities, struggle with precise localization. The intricate nature of electrical systems, with extensive cabling and interconnected components, exacerbates these challenges, as a single fault can disrupt the entire system.

 

Additionally, ambient conditions like temperature and moisture can significantly impact ground fault measurements, leading to altered signals and inaccurate readings, ultimately compromising the safety and reliability of the system.

With AURA GroundFaultInsight™, we set new standards in the management of complex electrical systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational efficiency with its innovative approach to ground fault detection and localization.


AURA GroundFaultInsight is a transformative product designed to streamline and significantly improve ground fault detection in complex electrical systems. Unlike traditional methods which require manual, labor-intensive testing of each wire in thousands of bundles across hundreds of panels, our solution offers an automatic, precise, and user-friendly alternative.

Designed akin to a city grid, the AURA GroundFaultInsight deploys 20-80 devices along the system. These sensors communicate with a central ‘brain’ housed in the flight deck control center, echoing throughout the grid and providing comprehensive coverage. Our system is encapsulated in a dependable circuit board within a box, which connects to the customer’s existing electrical system.

Beyond fault detection, our product excels in fault localization. We can typically pinpoint the exact location of a ground fault with an unrivaled accuracy of up to 3 meters. Comparatively, manual methods such as Megger require physical movement along the line, while other remote detection solutions can only approximate to within dozens of feet. The AURA GroundFaultInsight leverages a multi-port vector network analyzer (VNA) to deliver this unparalleled precision.
